Auditions

Auditions are your chance to get involved in our productions! When Auditioning for a musical, you will need to prepare 16 bars (or about 1 minute) of a Broadway style song and a memorized 1 minute monologue. Please bring sheet music -- an accompanist will be provided. If you are auditioning for one of our straight plays, you will only need to prepare a monologue.

After the first round of auditions, most directors will hold a “Callback” session for further readings from the script.

Callbacks and cast lists will generally be posted a day or two afterwards on the Strauss Youth Academy for the Arts Facebook page.
